What a fantastic week we had as sunshine and drier air dominated, but we’ll see less of both soon. Neither change will be very abrupt, so only expect gradual increases through the weekend. Tonight is a good example of that, as it will be a degree or so warmer as the humidity increases. Expect a low near 74 degrees with mostly clear skies and light westerly winds.
TOMORROW CARRIES THE FIRST AFTERNOON RAIN CHANCE WE’VE NEEDED IN A WHILE, AND EVEN THEN IT’S ONLY A “SLIGHT” 20% CHANCE.
Expect another afternoon with a high near 94 and mostly sunny skies. Any shower activity will be light-to-moderate and short-lived. Rain chances increase slightly into the start of the week, but again, only up to our seasonal average of 30%. A shortwave low pressure feature moves through by Wednesday of next week, so expect rain chances to maximize at 50% then. We won’t see much measurable rain, but all the rain-cooled air will cool highs back into the upper 80s by Friday.
