Dry August continues to compound drought issues in Siouxland - KTIV

For most of Siouxland, rain has been hard to come by this summer.

Many areas have a deficit over four inches for the year with some places approaching a ten inch deficit.

The very dry conditions have been compounded in August.

Most of the area has continued to lack rain this month, adding to drought concerns.

Here is a look at some of the rainfall deficits in Siouxland for the month of August (through the end of August 17th):
