CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- More scattered storms this afternoon, but Saturday is looking drier.
Scattered showers and storms will stick around for the remainder of the evening before diminishing. The main threats will be heavy rain and lightning. Storms should fizzle out after sunset.
Tonight will be quiet overnight with low temperatures dipping into the 60s.
Saturday is looking to be a relatively seasonable and mild day. High temperatures are expected to top out in the upper 80s.
A front will bring back a very small chance for showers Saturday evening and into Sunday morning, but most of us are expected to stay dry. Those who do pick up a little rain should have plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors throughout the day.
A break from the rain and cooler temperatures are on the way. Meteorologist Jacie Brianne will have the latest tonight on News 3.
