Warmer, dry stretch til the weekend - WKOW

MADISON (WKOW) - A nice stretch of warm, summery days ahead before rain returns for the weekend.

SET UP
High pressure is building in from the west quieting our weather pattern for a few days.

TODAY
Mostly sunny and dry with warmer temps in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT
Clear and seasonal with temps down to 60°. Another good night to try to see the Perseid meteor shower.

THURSDAY
Mostly sunny, warm and dry in the mid 80s again.

FRIDAY
Partly sunny and warm with temps in the mid 80s and an isolated storm chance, mainly in western Wisconsin.

As a cold front slips into the Upper Midwest, a few showers or storms could develop late Friday night.

SATURDAY
Expect scattered showers and storms with higher humidity. Otherwise, we'll have partly sunny skies and temps in the low to mid 80s.

SUNDAY
The end of the weekend now looks drier with milder temps in the low 80s and a sun-cloud mix.

EARLY NEXT WEEK
A milder trend continues with high temps falling to the mid to upper 70s with generous sunshine.
