Sunny and dry weather, with unseasonably high temperatures, will elevate fire concerns in northeastern Colorado through the weekend.
In Denver, skies will be sunny through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service forecast. High temperatures in the city will be 89 on Wednesday, 85 on Thursday, 91 on Friday, 95 on Saturday and 88 on Sunday. The seasonable high temperature for Denver in the first week of September is about 84 degrees.
Overnight low temperatures in Denver through the weekend will be in the upper 50s to the lower 60s. Nighttime skies will be clear to mostly clear, the weather service said.
On Monday, Labor Day, Denver will have a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms as the high temperatures tops out at a seasonable 83 degrees, according to the weather service.
