First Alert Forecast: A few areas seeing rain tonight, dry week ahead - WHSV

(WHSV) - October-like weather will continue over our area over the next 7 days. A cold front will pass through the area Sunday overnight bringing a couple showers especially in our West Virginia counties. Dry weather is expected to follow until at least next weekend.

SUNDAY: Evening temperatures in the 50s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. A few showers will arrive in West Virginia after 7 pm with even less of a chance of rain for the Valley after 8 pm. Rain chances will stay low tonight across the Valley with a slightly greater chance of rain for our West Virginia counties. Mostly cloudy for much of the night with overnight lows in the mid 40s.

MONDAY: A cool and crisp morning with temperatures rising into the 50s. Plenty of sunshine for the day with cooler weather continuing. Pleasant with highs in the mid 60s. A pretty comfortable day. Temperatures in the 50s for the evening with skies turning clear. Overnight lows in the mid 40s.

TUESDAY: A chilly start to the day with morning temperatures in the 40s. Mainly sunny and breezy with highs in the low 70s. Winds will be sustained from the south southwest at 10-15 mph. Temperatures in the 60s for the evening with clear skies continuing. Overnight lows in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY: A cool and crisp morning with temperatures rising into the 50s. Another day with plenty of sunshine and breezy weather. Warm with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Wind sustained out of the west southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts 25+ mph. Overnight lows in the upper 40s.

THURSDAY: Another cool and crisp start with temperatures rising into the 50s. Plenty of sunshine again but cooler with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Overnight lows in the low 40s.

FRIDAY: A chilly start with morning temperatures in the 40s. Partly cloudy for the day and staying cooler with highs in the mid 60s. Overnight lows in the mid 40s.
