Raleigh, N.C. — The threat for severe weather on Sunday is over, but isolated showers are possible until midday on Monday.
WRAL meteorologist Zach Maloch said dry and pleasant weather is next for much of the upcoming week. Showers will not be back in the forecast until Friday.
Maloch said fog is possibly on Monday and Tuesday morning.
"We will see some patchy fog Tuedsday morning, maybe even dense fog," he added.
Temperatures will be in the low 70s and low 80s Monday through Wednesday.
Maloch said on a cold-front will come through on Friday.
"Colder air will filter into the state," he explained.
Next weekend, temperatures could start off in the low 40s.
Areas south and southeast of the Triangle saw a lot of thunderstorm activity on Sunday as remnants of Delta moved through North Carolina.
A warm-front produced tornados in South Carolina and North Carolina.
There were not any tornados in the WRAL viewing area because of the warm-front not moving as far north as what was previously expected, according to Maloch.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington will conduct a damage survey in areas hit by tornados on Monday.
