High pressure will stay in control of our weather pattern tonight & tomorrow, keeping the weather fair. Much like last night, tonight looks dry and milder than some of the nights we've had recently, with temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s.

Thursday looks to bring mostly sunny skies for most of the day, with a few more clouds by the afternoon. We look rain-free and warmer than average yet again tomorrow, with highs topping off in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

Thursday night looks partly cloudy and mild with lows in the 50s. As of now, most of Friday is still looking dry, but we'll see rapidly increasing cloud cover throughout the day as a cold front that has been stalled just to our west all week finally starts to move in our direction.

We look to see a few scattered showers by Friday evening, and light rain looks to be on and off into Saturday and Sunday.

This will be far from a "wash-out" as rain should stay around a 0.5" or less in most spots through the weekend, but it will be a bit cooler and with clouds and showers around. Temps should retreat into the 60s again by this weekend.

Next week at a glance is looking to bring more wet weather and possibly a bigger cool down again.....make sure to tune in tonight to WVVA News at 5,6,10, and 11 PM for the latest!
