Use a mild face cleanser and soap
Harsh face washes and soap can rip off our face's natural oils. If you have dry skin, use a gentle body and face wash, which is mild.
Moisturise right after cleansing
Once you wash your face or a take bath, make sure you immediately moisturise. Use a cream or lotion with hydrating ingredients like glycerine and shea butter.
Try a serum
If your face is extremely dry, then applying a hydrating serum before a moisturiser can help to keep your skin smooth. You can apply this twice a day for better results.
Don't forget to exfoliate
Make sure you use a scrub or exfoliator once a week. Go for nourishing scrubs that are not harsh on your skin. This will help to get rid of dead skin cells, which don't easily absorb creams.
Use a heavy moisturiser at night
From your face, feet to hands, if you notice very dry skin, then you need to use heavier cream. Look for non-comedogenic ingredients like hyaluronic and olive extract that keep skin supple and are not greasy.
Avoid hot showers
Instead of taking hot water showers, go for warm showers. Frequent long and hot showers can dry out your skin and even lead to dry and itchy skin.
