WEATHER STORY: The weather story this week is the same tale told last week: high air pressure cells will keep us dry despite the best efforts of the occasional cloudy troughs of lower pressure trying to intervene. But, there is a snow chance finally strong enough to deliver something that will stick to the ground coming later.
MONDAY NIGHT: A trough of lower pressure will make the overnight mostly cloudy but precip chances from that passage will be slight. Low temps will be much warmer than normal and run 25-30. The wind will be SW 5-15 mph.
TUESDAY: Tuesday will be mostly cloudy but also mostly dry. The high temp will be warmer than normal and hit near 39. The wind will be W 10-20 mph.
WEDNESDAY: The next high pressure system will take over and clear the sky. The low will be 26 with a high of 39. The wind will be W 5-15 mph.
COMING UP: The latest forecast models indicate a stronger low pressure system working out of the Rockies for Friday and Saturday. Right now, those models show the low going to our southeast so we only get a slight chance for light snow. Meteorologist Dave Anderson will talk about those odds on the CBS 3 Monday evening news at 5, 6 and 10 pm. Meteorologist Kaitlyn Moffett will pick up the weather ball and run with it and the latest snow updates Tuesday morning between 5-7 am.
