Thursday starts dry but rain showers are expected for tonight.

WWLTV’s Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “Thursday will be another warm January day. Highs will climb into the low to mid 70s with mostly cloudy skies. Most areas will remain dry through the day, but a shower or two can't be ruled out.

It looks like the rain starts to move in overnight with the heaviest and widespread showers activity remaining north of the lake and perhaps in southwest Mississippi overnight. Some areas between Jackson andPartly to mostly cloudy. 40% scattered showers. Warm, humid. Breezy. Low: S 63, N 61. High: 76.

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy. Isolated shower. Milder temps. Low: S 59, N 54. High: 68.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy skies. 30% chance of rain. Mild, breezy.
Low: S 55, N 51. High: 67. the Florida Parishes could pickup 1-3 inches of rain tonight as a good soaking rain spreads over the area.”
