Although there is a very small chance of a few light sprinkles, forecasters predict clouds but no rain Sunday for the Portland area.
So this would be an ideal day to get outside and recreate -- especially because forecasters anticipate rain for each of the next five days.
Rain is expected to be especially heavy on Monday and Tuesday, with precipitation totals estimated to be 1.25 inches or more.
With sunrise at 7:50 a.m. and sunset at 4:48 p.m. and daylight increasing now that we’ve passed the winter solstice, Portland’s short days will move past the nine-hour mark this week.
