COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Get ready for rain to continue at times tonight into Friday with a steady, soaking rain anticipated at times on Friday. Make sure you have the rain gear ready to go and have planned accordingly if you have anything going on outside. For the weekend, we’ll start off Saturday on a dry note and see a mostly sunny and dry day with highs back in the 60s. By Sunday, clouds will increase again ahead of the next storm system, and we’ll even mention some isolated showers as we end the weekend (though most spots will stay dry. Next week, we will start out warm with highs back in the 70s in many spots, but look for a period of unsettled weather with two different storm systems poised to impact the area: one Monday into Tuesday, and another Wednesday into Thursday. We should dry things out by NEXT Friday and Saturday.
