(WSIL) -- The weekend ends relatively dry, with an active week ahead.
Snow cover from last night will remain on the ground today, as temperatures likely remain below freezing. Some sunshine early in the day will fade as clouds become more prevalent into the afternoon. Increasing clouds, existing snow cover, and a northern breeze will keep highs in the upper 20's and low 30's this afternoon.
Folks to our north and west will see potential for more snow today, but our region likely misses out. The dry trend largely continues for Monday morning. Monday afternoon brings a chance for light showers and possibly some mixed precipitation.
I'm tracking more active weather for the week ahead, this morning on News 3.
