RICHMOND, Va. -- This will be our first completely dry weekend (not a trace or more of precipitation) since January 9-10. It will also be only the second dry weekend of the year thus far.

Skies will be partly to mostly sunny. It will be cold with highs ranging from the mid 30s to the lower 40s. A brisk northwesterly breeze will cause wind chills in the 20s and 30s.

Tonight will be clear and quite cold. Lows in most areas will range from the mid teens to the lower 20s, but some isolated temps near 10° are possible in our coldest outlying areas.

Sunday will have sunshine with increasing high clouds in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30s to mid 40s.

A storm system will bring rain to the area on Monday. This could start as a brief mix well northwest of Richmond, but even those areas will turn to rain. Highs will range from the lower 40s northwest to the mid 50s southeast.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs 55-60°. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and warm with highs in the mid 60s. A cold front will pass with no precipitation, followed by highs 55-60° on Thursday.

Some computer models are showing a storm in our area next Friday, possibly with some snow. It is important to note that many models have little to no snow, and a few models are completely dry. We will continue to have updates over the next week.
