Good morning. The chilly air that moved in yesterday will stick around for today. Temperatures will be running about 10 degrees below normal, and a bit of a breezy wind will add to the cold feel. We’re starting the morning in the low 30s with afternoon highs 40-45. Northwest winds will be around 5-15 mph with gusts 20-25 mph this morning
On the plus side, we’ll see dry skies and sunshine through the morning. In the afternoon, clouds will build and our skies will turn partly to mostly cloudy for a few hours before clearing back out this evening.
Similar conditions are expected in Boston as the Red Sox take the field for their rescheduled Home Opener this afternoon. If you’re heading to Fenway, I’d recommend a winter coat and even some hat and gloves as it will be quite chilly sitting in the stands.
Tonight will be even colder than last night, with most spots dipping into the 20s by dawn.
EASTER WEEKEND FORECAST
Temperatures this weekend will be pretty typical, if not slightly cool, for early April. Saturday will start in the 20s at dawn, with highs near 50 in the afternoon. Plan on abundant sun and a slight breeze from the NW at 5-15 mph.
We’ll see more clouds around on Sunday, and winds will be a bit breezy. That said, afternoon temperatures will end up milder than on Saturday. All in all, the weather will cooperate for outdoor Easter egg hunts or outdoor family gatherings.
