UNIVERSAL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)-- Jim Roskovensky is the current operator for Universal Water in Universal, Ind. He said after inspecting the town's water wells and finding a potential hole, they discovered they had larger problems at hand.
"We had some problems with our fire hydrants a lot of them were leaking through. Some of them weren't operating like they should they were put in back in 1964,” he explained. “They were the type that weren't repairable. And when they looked on down the line, they decided we really needed a back up generator in case you have a bad storm or ice storm, you'll have no way of getting water."
