The Atlantic Hurricane Season doesn’t begin until June 1st; however, it’s not too uncommon to see a tropical system before the start of the season. One disturbance over the northwest Gulf may become better organized within the next 48 hours. However, the high-pressure dome over the region will steer this system towards Texas. Therefore, dry weather is expected to continue through the weekend. Another system over the Atlantic may become a depression or tropical storm, but this system is no threat to our region.
