Wednesday will offer a lower chance of showers early, but the bulk of the day will be rain free and mostly cloudy with highs around 80. The next round of showers and storms will arrive from the west and southwest late in the day through tonight. Some heavy rain is possible and the flash flooding risk remains. A few strong to severe storms are possible tonight with gusty winds and hail being the main threats east of DFW.

A Flash Flood Watch continues until 7 a.m. Thursday.

More waves of rain and storms are expected into Thursday. Showers and storms should become more spotty on Thursday and Friday, but will start to taper off by the weekend. You’ll still want to keep the umbrella nearby. The weekend rain chances are looking lower, but a few showers or storms still cannot be ruled out. Next week should start off dry with slightly warmer temperatures.
