AREAS. P-TOWN AND HYANNIS BOTH AT 47. THERE'S THE RAINFALL NOT TOO FAR OFF TO OUR SOUTH AND WEST COMING DOWN HEAVILY AROUND CHICAGO RIGHT NOW. THIS WILL BEND SOUTH OF NEW ENGLAND BUT BRING A DOSE OF SOAKING RAIN IN HERE TONIGHT. THERE'S A CLOSER LOOK AT SOME SEVERE WEATHER WENT THROUGH KANSAS CITY A FEW HOURS AGO. THIS IS A SIX-HOUR LOOP. IT CAME THROUGH MIDNIGHT OUR TIME. ABOUT 11:00 THEIR TIME OUT THAT WAY. AND FOR US WE HAVE THE SLIVER OF DRY WEATHER ON THE WESTERN PERIPHERY OF A BIG AREA OF LOW PRESSURE UP INTO THE CANADIAN MARITIMES. HERE'S HOW IT ALL KIND OF SPANS OUT SCHEMATICALLY. THE LOW-PRESSURE AREA OFF TO OUR WEST COMES IN TONIGHT. IT WILL SPREAD IN A DOSE OF SOAKING RAINS AND BE OUT OF HERE CALL IT AFTER TOMORROW MORNING'S COMMUTE. THEN WE START TO DRY OUT. AS FAR AS I CAN TELL FOR TUESDAY, I DON'T THINK WE HAVE TOO MANY PROBLEMS. IT'S MAYBE AT NIGHT WHEN A COUPLE OF SHOWERS ESPECIALLY UP INTO NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND COME THROUGH AND THAT WOULD BE WITH A COUPLE OF WEAK DISTURBANCES. BY AND LARGE, I THINK WE'LL BE DRY FOR MOST OF THE WEEK AHEAD. THERE'S FUTURECAST. LET'S ADVANCE THIS AND STOP IT AT 11:00 THIS MORNING. HIGH WISPY CLOUDS. THAT'S ABOUT IT. SUN WILL STILL GET THROUGH THESE CLOUDS. IT BECOMES A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT FOR THOSE SUN RAYS TO GET THROUGH THESE CLOUDS AS THEY THICKEN UP AROUND 4:00, 5:00 THIS EVENING. RAIN HOLDING OFF. I THINK WE'RE DRY UP UNTIL AFTER DARK AND HERE COMES THAT HEAVIER RAIN AROUND MIDNIGHT THROUGH 2:00 IN THE MORNING. IT WILL START TO EXIT BUT NOT UNTIL THE MORNING COMMUTE IS PRETTY MUCH UNDERWAY. HOW MUCH RAIN COULD WE BE SEEING? WELL, SOME SPOTS MAY GET BETWEEN 1/2 INCH TO 3/4 OF AN INCH AND SOME OF YOU MAY GET EVEN A LITTLE BIT MORE. SO GREAT FOR THE LAWNS OUT THERE. TAKING A LOOK AT TOMORROW, SOME MORNING SHOWERS. THEN DRY OUT TOWARD THE AFTERNOON. STILL A CLOUDY DAY, THOUGH. TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY DECENT. STARTING TO WARM UP. I THINK WE MAY BE HEADED FOR 70 PERHAPS IF WE'RE LUCKY B
