We are one day closer to this rainy pattern ending. However, today offers one more chance of spotty showers and storms. The highest chances will be during the morning hours and especially to the west and south of DFW. Afternoon rain chances will be spotty at best. Most locations will stay dry this afternoon as things heat up.

The long-awaited break from the wet pattern will commence on Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure pushes in. This means the heat will also ratchet up. The combination of the heat and humidity will make it feel like 100 late this week and into the weekend.
