High pressure will be in control of the region as the weekend moves along meaning there will be mostly clear skies. The temperatures this weekend will be a bit cooler than where we have been for the past few days, only topping out in the upper 70s to low 80s today and a few degrees warmer on Sunday and Monday. Over the past week we have had quite the ride as far as weather was concerned so it is nice to see us get a few days in a row without the threat of storms.
Sunday will be a nice day as the temps rebound quickly from the overnight lows in the 50s. This is going to be a great weekend to open up the windows and let the fresh air overtake the house. Again, not much in the way of cloud cover is expected so once the sun sets, we should drop quickly into the cool zone again.
Labor Day will see the mercury in the thermometer rising into the middle 80s. Still on the pleasant side, but a few degrees above the normal highs of the low 80s for early September. Enjoy the sunshine again as the high pressure will shift east opening the door for some warmer conditions.
A few more clouds come in on Tuesday as the high deteriorates and the region looks to the west for a bit more rain to return. A cold front is slated to arrive either late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Either way it will be after the weekend, so enjoy.
Stay safe and healthy
