High pressure will remain in control of our weather pattern this evening, keeping us dry tonight. We'll see a few clouds develop tonight, but we'll otherwise be cooler and quiet with lows in the 40s for most.

Friday, cloud cover will begin to increase as moisture from the Gulf begins to work into our region. We'll stay dry through, with highs Friday afternoon in the upper 60s and low 70s for most.

Hurricane Delta is expected to slam into the Gulf Coast Friday evening, before moving inland and gradually weakening into a remnant low pressure system. What is left of Delta will begin to impact us the weekend, as outer bands of showers push into the area on Saturday. The remnants of Delta look to linger through the weekend as of now, so rounds of-and-off rain look possible through Sunday, and into early Monday of next week.

Right now, no major/widespread flooding issues are expected, as we've been dry lately. However, our area is slated to receive generally 1-2" of rain with locally higher amounts, which still could cause local rapid rises in creeks and streams. We'll be a bit cooler with clouds and showers around through the weekend, with highs in the low to mid 60s.
