EVENING: Cooler & Decreasing Winds.
TONIGHT: Cooler, Calm. Lo 45.
FRIDAY: Mostly Sunny, Seasonable. Hi 72. Winds: SW 5-10 mph.
Clear skies and calming winds will allow our temperatures to drop into the 40s overnight. A chilly, but sunny Friday is on tap as high pressure continues to dominate the northeast US to begin the weekend.
Saturday also starts off sunny, but clouds will increase throughout the afternoon and evening. These clouds will come from Hurricane Delta, which is forecast to make landfall on Friday as a category three major hurricane across western Louisiana. As Delta tracks north, clouds continue to increase locally. Sunday will be overcast, but likely dry for much of the day. We anticipate showers to develop toward Sunday evening, with a steady rain developing for Monday. Current rainfall projections show a half inch to one inch of rain for much of the area. We’ll continue to watch the track of Delta over the weekend, so check back for more updates.
