Meteorologist April Loveland's First Warning Forecast
Skies will continue to be mostly clear which will allow temperatures to drop quickly after sunset. Expect temperatures to drop into the 40s for most areas, with the milder air along the coast due to winds off the water.
Plenty of sunshine to start the day Sunday as high pressure remains in control. The wind will continue to be off the water, so clouds will start to build in through the afternoon especially along the coast. The wind won't be as strong and temperatures will warm to near 70, which is normal for this time of year. We have been tracking elevated tides, so a little bit of nuisance flooding is possible at high tide on Sunday which is at 11 AM at Sewells Point.
The work week is shaping up to be warm and dry. High pressure will be in control for the week which will keep any weather systems from advancing and moving into our area. Skies will be mostly sunny on Monday with highs in the low 70s. Temperatures won't be as cold overnight either. Expect lows in the upper 50s.
Even warmer on Tuesday as we continue with a warming trend. Highs will be in the mid 70s. The dewpoint will also rise into the mid 60s, so we will feel a bit more humidity in the air than what we have been dealing with.
Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week with highs up near 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid and upper 70s will be the story heading into the end of the week.
Rain chances will rise again by the weekend.
