A strong storm system will pass just to our east, but may graze southeastern parts of the Local4 viewing area with some snow on New Year’s Day (Friday). Farther west, there will just be a few more clouds than the previous two days. It may also be a bit breezy. Highs on Friday will again be chilly from the low/mid 20s east to the upper 30s west. Sunshine returns this weekend with warmer temperatures budging eastward. Highs on Saturday will range from the upper 20s east to the low to mid 40s out west. Sunday will be a bit warmer yet from the mid 30s east to the mid to upper 40s west. There will be a few more clouds around on Monday as highs range from the upper 30s east to the mid to upper 40s west. Each one of these days, snow cover will keep some places cooler compared to those with little or no snow on the ground.
