Dry with average temperatures ahead
BRIGHT AND THAT'S REALLY NOT GOING TO CHANGE IN THE COMING WEEK. TAKE A LOOK AT NOVEMBER. WE WANT TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE WARM FIRST WEEK. 78 WAS THE WARMEST WE GOT IN NOVEMBER. OVERALL, 21 DAYS ABOVE THE AVERAGE, SO IT WAS PRETTY MILD FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER. NOW TAKING A LOOK AT WHERE WE'RE GOING, WELL, DECEMBER 1, ON AVERAGE, IS 39 DEGREES AND AS WE GET TOWARDS THE END OF THE MONTH, DECEMBER 31, THE AVERAGE HIGH IS 31. ISN'T THAT FITTING. THROUGH THE MONTH. NOW AVERAGE SNOWFALL IS 9 INCHES, NOT SEEING ANY THROUGH THE EIGHT-DAY FORECAST, SO WE'RE NOT GOING TO GET STARTED ON THAT AVERAGE. WE ARE GETTING STARTED ON GETTING CLOSE TO THE AVERAGE HIGH. WE'LL GET INTO THE LOW 40'S, SO A COUPLE OF DEGREES ABOVE IT TODAY, BUT TEMPERATURES ARE REALLY GOING TO BACK OFF AS WE GO THROUGH THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. NOTICE THE WINDS THOUGH. WHAT A CHANGE. WE'RE GOING TO SEE THE WINDS THAT REMAIN IN THAT QUIET LIGHT CATEGORY FOR THE COMING DAYS. TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW INTO THE 30'S IN MOST LOCATIONS. SOME 40'S STARTING TO POP UP INTO WESTERN IOWA, 38 IN GRENELL FOR THE NOON HOUR. PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AS YOU STEP OUT THE DOOR. YOUR CAR MIGHT BE A LITTLE TOASTY IF IT'S SITTING IN THE SUN, BUT THE DEW POINT IN THE 20'S, EVERYBODY NEEDS TO LOAD UP ON THE CHAP STICK WHEN THE AIR IS THIS DRY, IT REALLY DOES TAKE A TOLL ON THAT SKIN. LOOK AT THE WINDS RIGHT NOW, ONLY AT 3, SO THAT FEELS LIKE THAT WINDCHILL NOT REALLY A FACTOR AND THAT'S GOING TO BE THE TREND THROUGH THE COMING DAYS. WE WON'T HAVE THE WIND. LOTS OF ZEROS IN EASTERN IOWA. MORE SPEED OUT TO THE WEST, BUT IT'S GOING TO STAY OUT IN WESTERN IOWA. THE WINDS OVER THE COMING DAYS, PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. 4 TO 8 TODAY. WEDNESDAY AND INTO THURSDAY. SO IF YOU DO NEED TO GET OUT THERE AND PUT UP SOME DECORATIONS, YOU'RE GOING TO BE OK TO DO IT. IT'S GOING TO BE DRY, IT'S GOING TO BE SUNNY TODAY. MORE CLOUDS BUILDING IN ON WEDNESDAY AND EVEN MORE SO ON THURSDAY, BUT THE WINDS ARE GOING TO BE QUIET. SO YOU WON'T HAVE ANY CHALLENGES IF YOU ARE UP ON THAT LADDER. HERE'S A LOOK AT THE CLOUD-FREE SKY SITTING OVER CENTRAL IOWA. THERE'S SOME CLOUDS OUT TO THE EAST, TAKE A LOOK AT THAT, THEY ARE HAVING THEIR SNOWSTORM, THAT WILL CONTINUE TO PULL OFF TO THE ALLIES, NOT BOTHER US AT ALL. WE'RE GOING TO START LOOKING TOWARDS THE SOUTH AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW. THERE IS GOING TO BE A LOW AND THIS GUY IS GOING TO DRIVE UP TO THE NORTHEAST, BUT WE'VE GOT A HIGH THAT'S SAYING YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BOTHER US HERE IN IOWA. WE'LL KEEP WITH OUR NICE QUIET WEATHER, SO THIS IS ACTUALLY GOING TO STAY OFF TO THE SOUTH. BY THURSDAY, FAR SOUTHERN IOWA HAS THE BEST CHANCE OF SEEING ANYTHING BUT EVEN THAT IS A PRETTY SKIMPY CHANCE. IF YOU SHALL GOING TO BE TRAVELING TOMORROW, EVEN DOWN TO THE SOUTH, YOU SHOULD BE OK TO DO THAT, BUT AS WE LOOK INTO THURSDAY, TRAVEL HERE NORTH AND EAST WILL BE FINE, BUT IF YOU DO WANT TO GO SOUTH. YOU WILL RUN INTO THAT SYSTEM, BUT BY FRIDAY, THINGS CLEAR OUT AGAIN, SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE TRAVELING ON FRIDAY FOR THE WEEKEND, THINGS ARE LOOKING GOOD, THE TEMPERATURES ARE JUST GOING TO HOVER RIGHT AROUND THE SEASONABLE TEMPERATURE IN THE 40'S. 41 TODAY, A COUPLE DEGREES ABOVE THAT AVERAGE. SUNNY AND QUIET. INCH JOY THAT QUIET WEATHER. YOU CAN EVEN GO OUT FOR A -- ENJOY THAT QUIET WEATHER AND YOU CAN EVEN GO OUT FOR A WALK WITHOUT THE WINDCHILLS ON YOUR FACE. CLOUDS PASSING OVERHEAD TONIGHT, BUT IT WILL BE BITTER, NOT AS BITTER AS IT WAS. WE HAD 15 THIS MORNING. EIGHT-DAY FORECAST SHOWS THE 20'S AT NIGHT, 40'S THROUGH THE DAY AND PLENTY
