Good morning. It actually felt like January this morning. Temperatures dipped to the ‘teens and 20s overnight with a layer of heavy frost. While we began the day with a beautiful sunrise, mid and high level clouds quickly turned our skies mainly cloudy for the day ahead. Even with the extra clouds, temperatures this afternoon look to end up slightly warmer than normal in the upper 30s to low 40s. Winds will be light, from the west at 5-10 mph.
The clouds will move out this evening leaving us with mostly clear skies much of the night. Temperatures will drop back into the 20s, but it won’t be as cold as early this morning.
The dry streak rolls on. Tuesday and Wednesday will remain storm-free with a mix of sun and clouds and above average temperatures in the low 40s. The next decent shot for showers isn’t until late Friday into Saturday. Right now, the forecast storm track would support rain showers for our area.
