Good morning. We have a “mainly” dry Mother’s Day Weekend ahead of us, with Saturday afternoon and early evening at risk of a quick shower. We’ll talk more about that in a moment. But as for today, plan on a dry day, with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will top out just a touch cooler than yesterday–in the upper 50s to low 60s. Light east winds this morning will turn southeast in the afternoon at 10-15 mph.
It will be cool and dry tonight with partly to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures dropping from the 50s into the 40s. By dawn, lows will be around 40-45.
Plan on a mostly cloudy and cooler day on Saturday. Highs will climb to 55-60, about 7-10 degrees below normal.
In addition, a weakening batch of showers will try to push in from the west during the afternoon and evening. These look brief and light, so I wouldn’t cancel outdoor activities, but have an indoor option as a back up plan between 2PM and 8PM.
Lingering clouds Saturday night will clear out for a sunny Mother’s Day morning. Temperatures will quickly climb into the 60s with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 60s. Look for clouds to roll in during the afternoon and early evening with rain arriving after 8PM. Rain will be heavy at times Sunday night and early Monday.
