It was a cool start to the day. That's not something that we can say too often in August. With no humidity, lows fell to the 40s in many spots, and where it didn't lows were still in the low 50s. Despite that, temperatures still managed to climb within a couple degrees of Eau Claire's average high of 80.
Another cooler than average night is ahead with relatively low humidity, but temperatures will only fall to the mid 50s, which is only a few degrees below Eau Claire's average low of 58. Temperatures rise above average by tomorrow afternoon after a weak warm front passes through.
That front could bring a few scattered showers, possibly with a rumble or two of thunder. Still, our low humidity and lack of water vapor in the air combined with the relative weakness of the front will limit rain chances. Even places that do see a brief shower or two won't pick up meaningful rainfall, so don't change any plans you may have on watering the grass or fields.
Remember that watering is not very effective when the sun is out, and is best before sunrise/after sunset or at least within a couple hours of each.
Those rain chances are weak, and Futurecast doesn't show much outside of some clouds for tomorrow, though again a few showers could form. Even if they do, most of the day will be dry. Humidity will start to build after that front passes, and expect dew points in the low to mid 60s from tomorrow night through Sunday morning.
Temperatures will be above average, too, with highs in the mid 80s through Friday, and a bit lower Saturday as clouds and rain chances move in along a cold front. The humidity departs behind this front's passage for Sunday and into early next week.
